Ivor in his backroom which is home to his amateur radio equipment and memorabilia from when he served and throughout his life including (pictured) a piece of his parachute from the Normandy landings which he tore away , covered with emblems from collegues from all over the world , which have since been donated . Former paratrooper , Ivor Anderson (89) (correct), landed on Normandy on D-Day . He's one of a dwindling number of soldiers who's still alive and able to return to the region this June .
