Campaign group "Enough is Enough" holds a rally at Manchester Cathedral. The group wants Thursday's (1st September 2022) energy price cap increase to be scrapped and for a return to pre April 2022 prices. They also want the UK's minimum wage increased to £15 per hour, an end to food poverty, improved housing and for the wealthiest to pay higher taxes. Greater Manchester Metro Mayor Andy Burnham, Dave Ward of the CWU, Zarah Sultana MP, the RMT's Eddie Dempsey, Maxine Looby of the UCU and the actress Sophie Willan are amongst those announced as attending.
