A demonstration in support of Gary Lineker is held outside the BBC's main sports studios at Media City in Salford Quays. The former footballer and Match of the Day presenter has been suspended by the BBC after he was criticised for expressing his view in opposition to the British Government's asylum policy. The BBC say Match of the Day will air without a studio presenter, pundits, or its regular commentators, as colleagues across the BBC are withholding their Labour in solidarity with Lineker.
